Groupe Scolaire Jules Verne

Why Jules Verne

Our history since 2005

Twenty years of a school that has grown with the families of Sidi Maarouf.

Jules Verne — Groupe Scolaire Jules Verne was founded in 2005 in Sidi Maarouf, Casablanca. Since then it has strengthened its team, developed its programme from preschool to the end of middle school and reinforced language learning.

Key milestones

  1. 2005

    Founding

Groupe Scolaire Jules Verne opens in Sidi Maârouf, with its first classes and founding team.

  2. 2005 – today

    Two decades of expertise

Twenty years on, the school has built a clear identity: demanding, but always keeping its teaching methods up to date.

An aim that has stayed the same

An aim that has stayed the same

Premises, tools and curricula change. The founding intention has not: to welcome every child as they are and help them progress.

That continuity is the thread of our history — and what families find again from one generation of pupils to the next.

Jules Verne — The vision of Groupe Scolaire Jules Verne rests on a balance: clear academic expectations and a caring climate. The school aims to develop pupils who are independent, curious, respectful and comfortable in several languages.

Our vision

We believe a child learns better when they feel safe, heard and recognised. Only then does high expectation become a driver rather than pressure.

Our role is to prepare pupils for the challenges ahead: finding information, analysing it, cooperating and expressing themselves clearly.

Our vision

Our six core commitments

Real attention to every student

Every student is known, not just a name on a list. Successes and difficulties alike are picked up quickly, and discussed with parents.

A stable, invested team

A team that keeps training and stays for the long run, so teaching stays consistent from one year to the next.

Three languages, from an early age

French, Arabic and English from an early age, with real priority given to speaking.

Active teaching

Children learn best by asking questions, handling things, experimenting, and explaining what they've understood — not just listening.

A well-rounded week

Sport, art, science and group projects are part of the regular week, not an afterthought.

Clear communication

Regular meetings, clear reports, direct contact: parents always know how their child is doing.

Come and see the environment your child will grow up in.
